City Beaches
Philadelphia has been dabbling with the idea of bringing the shore to the sidewalk. Last year there was a pop up beach at Logan Circle. This year we have the Spruce Street Harbor popup. ST and I visited one very hot mid afternoon before the baby arrived and it was fairly deserted at the time, but still looked great. The idea seems unique. We avoided the various lounge chairs and hammocks and instead roamed around taking pictures of the bar area which looked like it would be a lot of fun when it’s open after 5pm. I couldn’t resist the boardwalk snacks and sampled a snow cone and a soft pretzel, sitting at one of the location’s picnic tables. The park is so popular that it didn’t close as planned at the end of August. Drop by while you still can!
