Second birthdays
My first child enjoyed his second birthday this summer. We took him on the Freedom Ferry across the river to the Camden Aquarium where he said hi to the hippos, pet a starfish, and walked across the shark bridge. After a ferry ride home and a quick nap, he then had cake with his abuelos. He picked out his birthday hats, yellow cake plates and orange candle from the local Target. I wasn’t going to make a special cake, but then I wanted to be reminded of the boy’s neverending love for Fig the Fox from Tumble Leaf at this age. He still asks for it to be his birthday with birthday hats and cake sometimes. Success!
